3 hour Pocket Altar Workshop - August 17th 2025 1pm - 4pm @ The Sanctuary, Oakland

$135.00

@ The Sanctuary on August 17th from 1pm - 4pm

Working with Altars is a practice that I find very supportive, especially in times when I feel untethered. Altars have helped me reconnect and anchor back to my sense of self, offer protection, as well as provide a direct line to Spirit.

A few ways altars are living in my home:

  • Honoring my Ancestors

  • Under my pillow, helping me sleep

  • On a window sill to help me do my dishes

  • Protecting my front door

  • Honoring inner children

  • Communing with Orisha

Altars don’t have to be grand spaces, they can literally fit into your pocket! Being able to travel with an altar can offer many gifts.

In this 3 hour workshop you will

  • Learn a simple and personal framework for how to work with any altar

  • Create your own pocket altar in community in a fun laid back atmosphere

  • Get to ask questions and be in conversation about altars

What to bring:

  • Small pictures, special paper or items that can fit inside your pocket altar. I will provide a few special items you can use

  • Scissors and an Exacto knife if you have one. I will have a few

  • An Altoid  box (the large or tiny ones both work), or a small box of your choice. A “pocket altar” doesn’t have to fit in your pocket, it can fit in your bag. I’ve also used playing card boxes.
